What are the prospects for the mining machinery industry?

Three core development trends

Intelligentization: From single-machine automation to whole-mine system collaboration
Based on 5G, AI, and digital twin technologies, mines are building a "cloud monitoring + unmanned operation" system.

Unmanned mining trucks, automatic drilling rigs, and intelligent scheduling systems have been widely adopted in large open-pit mines, significantly improving efficiency and reducing safety risks.

Driven by policy, China has clearly required the deep integration of mine data by 2030, promoting less-manned and unmanned mining operations.

Greening: New energy equipment is accelerating the replacement of traditional equipment.

"Dual carbon" targets are forcing the industry to transform, with pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen-powered mining trucks becoming the mainstream direction.

The electric mining truck market is expected to reach $60 billion by 2025, and the penetration rate of electric mining trucks in my country will exceed 15%.

Companies such as Zoomlion, XCMG, and Sany have launched hybrid/pure electric mining trucks and electric excavators, achieving zero emissions and low-noise operation.

Large-scale and complete sets: Equipment is developing towards higher tonnage and clustering. Ultra-large mining dump trucks (such as 300-ton class), 400-ton class hydraulic excavators, and 35-cubic-meter electric shovels are successively rolling off the production line, meeting the high-efficiency operation needs of extra-large mines.

Complete equipment delivery models are emerging, improving overall construction efficiency through intelligent interconnection, with comprehensive energy efficiency increasing by more than 15% and carbon emissions decreasing by 20%.
