Fast-acting Impactor: Getting Through the Hard Rock Without Wasting Your Diesel
The Scene & Pain Points:
When you're hitting hard granite or basalt, some hammers feel like they're just "tapped" against the rock, barely making a dent while your diesel tank drains. You need something that strikes faster and harder so you can pack up and move to the next site on schedule.
Real Field Experience:
Our Fast-acting impactor doesn't just hit; it pulverizes. When you're standing next to the rig, you'll hear a high-frequency, crisp "thumping" sound. It's designed for high-cycle speed. The internal piston moves much faster than standard models, which means you're getting more blows per minute and making meters much quicker.

Product Introduction

The Main Types: Short-Neck vs. Long-Neck

We offer two versions because ground conditions aren't all the same:

1001

Short-Neck (Short-Shank)

These are compact. They're great for tight spaces or when you're using a smaller rig and need every inch of mast height. They tend to be a bit "snappier" in their cycle.

2001

Long-Neck (Long-Shank)

This is the go-to for deep wells. The extra length on the neck helps guide the hammer better, keeping your hole perfectly straight even when you hit a slanted rock layer that tries to push the bit off-course.

Two Practical Wins

Valveless Air Flow

We stripped out the delicate internal valves. Why? Because grit and dust eventually get into the air lines. A valveless system has fewer parts to snap or clog, so it keeps striking even when the air isn't perfectly clean.

Case-Hardened Casing

The outer cylinder is made of carburized alloy steel. It's thick enough to take the abrasion of rock cuttings rushing up the sides for weeks without thinning out or bursting under high pressure.

A Honest Reminder

Just a heads-up: these fast-acting models are "thirsty" for rock drill oil. Because the piston moves so fast, you really can't skip the lubrication. If your lubricator runs dry, the heat will score the piston pretty quickly. Keep it oiled, and it'll be the most reliable tool on your truck.

Who Should Buy This?

Perfect for drillers who work in hard rock (like limestone or granite) and are tired of slow penetration rates. If you're drilling in soft soil, this is overkill-but if the ground is hard, this is what you want.

FAQ (Straight Talk, No Fluff)

Q: Will it fit my existing rig and rods?

A: Yes. We use standard API threads (like 2 3/8" or 3 1/2" Reg). As long as your drill string is standard, this Fast-acting impactor will twist right on. No adapters or "custom" headaches needed.

Q: My compressor is a bit old-will this hammer still be "fast"?

A: It will still strike, but you won't see the full speed unless you have decent air volume (CFM). If you're worried about your air supply, let us know before you order. We can adjust the internal "choke" to make it cycle better at lower air volumes.

Q: What happens if I hit a big water table?

A: There's a heavy-duty check valve built into the top sub. The moment you kill the air to add a new rod, the valve snaps shut. This keeps mud and sandy water from "back-flooding" into the hammer and grinding down your internal seals.

Q: Is it easy to repair if something goes wrong?

A: That's the beauty of the valveless design. You can swap the O-rings or check the piston on the back of your truck with basic tools. We sell "rebuild kits" so you don't have to guess which part numbers you need.

Q: How long is the wait for shipping?

A: We keep the common 4", 5", and 6" models in stock. Usually, we can get them on a truck or a ship in about a week. If you need a weird custom thread, give us about 20 days to machine the top sub.
